Working from home? | Tips & Tricks for Email Campaigns | Nettl of Gloucester & Cheltenham

If you can’t work IN your business right now, it’s the perfect time to start working ON your business.

Email campaigns can play an important role while you are unable to work in your office or at your usual desk space. They are the perfect way to reach out to customers and potential customers across your business. They can be tailored and targeted and therefore make the perfect marketing material.

Here’s some tips to help blow the cobwebs away and get your email campaigns up to scratch,

First of all – Do you actually use email campaigns? Is this something that is used within your marketing strategy? If not, then why not? How do you reach out to those clients and go the extra mile?

If you do use them, then great! Now, ask yourself, how do you use them? Do you use them to promote your business and services or do you use them to chuck out any old content?

If you’re sending out email campaigns – how often do you do it? Once a week, once a month, once a year?! We recommend an email campaign once a month is perfect, not too pushy (because who wants to be pushy?!) it allows your clients to know that you’re still there, you’re still continuing business as normal and most importantly, you’re there to help!

Do you find that they work for your company? If so, great! Continue what you’re doing (it’s obviously working!)

If not, then maybe it’s time to make some changes, take some time while you’re away from your business to work on a strategy.

If you’re going to continue to send email campaigns be sure to keep them up to date and relevant – always make sure you are sending out relevant content, new content and keep on top of trends.

Make sure you organise your mailing list – how can you segment your audience? Can you organise them into location groups? Can you organise them based on their interests? This will make it 10 times easier to target people.

Use colourful and eye catching images within your campaigns, try to include your own photos, from your office or of your products. Include links that link back to your website – but not too many, this can encourage spam. Give it a catchy subject line, don’t make it salesy because people will not open it, they will get rid of it like it’s spam.
